As the owner of AVID Electric Byran Kelly has nearly three decades of hands-on experience in the electrical trade. He began his career in 1997 as an apprentice electrician, earned his journeyman license in 2000, and became a master electrician in 2005.
Byran’s career has been built from the ground up, giving him a deep understanding of the field, the workforce, and the operational demands of complex electrical projects. His leadership philosophy is grounded in accountability, quality workmanship, and building long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Outside of work, Byran enjoys hunting and spending time with his family, which exemplifies the values that mirror the discipline, focus, and commitment he brings to Avid Electrical every day.
Gilbert Orozco has been part of the electrical industry since 2009 and currently manages the company’s day-to-day operations. With extensive experience in estimating and project management, he combines strategic leadership with practical field expertise on every project. His background includes work across Interiors, Retail, Education, Healthcare, and Industrial sectors, providing him with a broad and well-rounded perspective on diverse project environments.
Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas A&M University–Commerce and is a Licensed Journeyman Electrician. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, their daughter, Aubrey, and their two French bulldogs, Canela and Harley. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and riding motorcycles.
Ben Dodgen brings more than 20 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, with expertise in project management, contract administration, and construction operations. He is experienced in managing project contracts, coordinating vendors, forecasting labor and material costs, and supporting project teams to ensure successful project delivery and strong financial performance.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Kate. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and attending sporting events.
Brandon Cushman serves as Director of Operations for the Austin, Texas branch, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the commercial electrical industry. He oversees day-to-day operations and works closely with project teams to ensure work is delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Known for his strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and hands-on approach, Brandon is committed to keeping projects running smoothly from planning through completion. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors hunting and fishing.
Zacharry Miller serves as a General Field Superintendent for AVID Electric, bringing over 15 years of experience managing multimillion-dollar commercial and industrial projects to the team.
As a licensed Master Electrician and a United States military veteran, Zacharry combines elite technical proficiency with a disciplined, relationship-driven leadership approach to coordinate large field crews and deliver complex builds for Fortune 500 clients.
Outside of work, Zacharry enjoys spending time with his wife, Mekdes, and developing their 72-acre property in Rusk, Texas. He also values tending to his beekeeping apiaries, exploring agricultural technology, and producing music.
Brad Hawkins serves as Head of the Estimating Department, where he leads the accurate and timely delivery of project estimates and collaborates closely with customers throughout the pre-construction process. With more than two decades in the electrical industry since 2001, Brad is a licensed electrician whose experience spans the full scope of the trade. He has managed projects in the field as a Superintendent, worked as a Project Manager, and now brings a practical, field-driven perspective to his leadership in estimating.
Outside of work, Brad enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son Jaxon in multiple sports, serving at his church, and being outdoors hunting and fishing.
Aaron Wilson began his career in the electrical industry in 1994, working a summer job as an apprentice while in high school. After graduating, he continued as a full-time electrician and eventually earned his journeyman license. With more than 25 years of field experience as an apprentice, foreman, and superintendent, he transitioned from the field into the role of estimator in 2020.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys homesteading with his wife, spending time with his family, and studying Texas history.

Ben Savallo serves as Safety Manager at Avid Electric, a role he has held since 2025. With two years of experience in the construction industry, he is dedicated to enhancing jobsite safety and fostering a strong safety culture across project teams. Ben earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health to further strengthen his expertise in the field.

Clint Gann began his electrical career more than 20 years ago, completing a four-year program at CEF where he gained a strong hands-on foundation in the electrical trade. After graduation, he steadily advanced through the ranks from apprentice to foreman and now serves as a Project Manager at AVID. Clint has successfully delivered projects of all sizes, ranging from small tenant finish-outs to large ground-up facilities for Fortune 500 companies. Known for his practical field experience and leadership, he brings a results-driven approach to every project.
Outside of work, Clint enjoys getting away to play golf and spending quality time with his family.
Dane Phillips is a Safety Director with 14+ years of experience in the fields of construction safety, operations and high-risk environments. He specializes in jobsite safety programs, hazard mitigation and subcontractor compliance across residential and commercial projects. With a background in law enforcement and emergency response, he brings expertise in incident investigation and risk management. Outside of work, Dane enjoys spending time with his family, coaching baseball and fishing.
Gonzalo Mansilla joins AVID Electric as an Assistant Project Manager, bringing a decade of hands-on leadership experience to the team. Prior to stepping into this role, Gonzalo spent 10 years as a Project Supervisor, mastering the ins and outs of project execution, team coordination, and delivering high-quality results. Known for his strong work ethic and sharp problem-solving skills, he is dedicated to ensuring every project at AVID Electric runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Outside of work, Gonzalo is a devoted family man, married with three kids. He channels that same passion for leadership and teamwork into his community by coaching for the Cedar Hill Soccer Association.
Jonathan Jones is an accomplished Project Manager with more than 26 years of experience in the electrical industry. A licensed Journeyman Electrician and graduate of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) School, he brings extensive field experience and technical expertise to every project.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has successfully managed a wide range of commercial and industrial electrical projects, leading teams with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. His strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget have earned him the trust of both clients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Lydia joined Avid Electrical Contracting in June 2026, bringing nine years of experience in payroll and human resources. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Social Psychology. Although her academic career began in the sciences, she transitioned into accounting after taking a temporary position that grew into a rewarding career in payroll. Outside the office, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband and supporting their children's activities in baseball and ballet. She also serves on her children's elementary school PTA board where she advocates for educational programs and community events.
Sam Smiley is an Assistant Project Manager at AVID Electric, bringing hands-on field experience and industry knowledge to every project. After earning his Journeyman Electrician certification in 2023, Sam transitioned into project management while continuing to build his expertise in the commercial construction industry.
Currently pursuing a Finance degree at the University of North Texas with an expected graduation in 2026, Sam combines technical experience with a business-focused mindset to support successful project delivery and client relationships.

With over a decade of experience in the electrical trade, Spencer Edmonds focuses on project estimating, blending hands-on field experience as a journeyman electrician with advanced estimating software to produce accurate and dependable bids. Known for his attention to detail, Spencer ensures each estimate is comprehensive and well-prepared. His work is centered on the front end of projects, where he helps set the foundation for success while building strong relationships with clients.
Outside of work, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, Tayler, and their children, Tytan and Mela. In his free time, he enjoys bass fishing, hunting, watching sports, and staying active in the gym.

Sterling Ward leads new business development, client relationships, and marketing initiatives for AVID Electric with that he brings more than a decade of experience in the commercial construction industry since 2012.
A graduate of Texas Tech University with a Business Degree in Energy, Sterling combines industry knowledge with a relationship-driven approach to help clients achieve successful project outcomes.
Outside of work, Sterling enjoys coaching his two sons, Jax and Walker sports teams.
He also values spending time with family, hunting at his ranch in Graham, TX and playing golf with clients and friends.
